On 27th February the Future Proof Conference ‘What will the world of work look like for today’s young people?’ took place at Ageas Hilton Hotel.

The Future Proof Conference which was for career professionals was a huge success even with the snow. It was one of the biggest events for career professional on the South Coast with over 150 delegates attending.

Over the course of the day delegates had the opportunity to attend presentations, workshops and speak to Colleges, Universities and training providers.

The key themes of the day included career pathways into specific careers and apprenticeships, future skills that young people will require and the requirement of schools meeting the Gatsby benchmarks.

One Careers Coordinator commented ‘As a result of today’s conference the school will be thinking about how careers and the Gatsby Benchmarks will become increasingly important.’

Delegates also commented on how it was such a good opportunity to network with their peers to share best practice; something they don’t often get a chance to do.
