News Eaton’s Prize support EBP South's Future Events Eaton donated a ‘huge’ prize of an Amazon Echo to support EBP South at Get Inspired Portsmouth to encourage young people to give their feedback. The Amazon Echo was presented by Neil Elshaw, Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Eaton Titchfield at Springfield School in their Year 8 celebration assembly on Tuesday 27th March. Neil Elshaw said, ‘It’ was a great opportunity to talk to the year group about what Eaton do and to be able to present the prize in person. Eaton donated a prize of an Amazon Echo because we recognise the importance of the feedback for EBP South in supporting them to run future events and gain future sponsorship.’ The winners feedback card was picked at random by EBP South from the 1000’s of students that attended. The Get Inspired Portsmouth feedback included statistics about the event but also shows the benefit to the young people; by exposing them to a range of opportunities they may not have been aware of and helping them to realise their potential. From the event 80% of students said they enjoyed the ‘have a go’ activity and 39% of students said today they changed their mind about what they want to do in the future. Get Inspired Portsmouth offers students the opportunities to practical test a vast range of roles from a range of industries which is free for both schools and companies to attend. The feedback is invaluable to EBP South to enable them to continue running events. If your company would like to donate a prize to our events email [email protected].
