EBP South is proud to bring the renowned Get Inspired event to the New Forest on Thursday 27th June 2019 at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.

Get Inspired are established events, organised by EBP South, that bring together 100’s of businesses to provide interactive activities to inspire 1000’s of young people to find out about the, vast range of careers, career pathways, and the companies/job roles that are available on their doorstep.

The organisers, EBP South hope the first Get Inspired New Forest event will inspire over 280 students and 29 businesses to give young people a unique insight into the job market.

Suzanne Lewis, EBP South Project Manager, said ‘How can young people aspire to be what they want to be if they don’t know what is available. This event connects young people to the world of work, allowing the young people to learn about potential careers they often didn’t know existed.’

‘The event is free to both businesses and schools. Enabling all schools and young people from different background to attend as well as businesses of all sizes to inspire young people and develop their recruitment pipeline.’

Get Inspires take place across Hampshire in Portsmouth, Southampton, Basingstoke and Test Valley throughout the academic year.

Angharad Vaughan, Community Affairs Adviser for ExxonMobil Fawley said, ‘ExxonMobil Fawley is delighted to be supporting Get Inspired New Forest for its inaugural event. As a local employer, we are committed to encouraging young people to engage in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). By visibly demonstrating that these subjects can be fun, we hope to inspire young learners to want to become the engineers and scientists of the future. The key to learning is often enjoyment, and our volunteers will certainly be doing their best to make sure that is what they bring to Get Inspired New Forest.’

Get Inspired New Forest headline sponsor is ExxonMobil Fawley and additional sponsors are SUN and New Forest District Council. The sponsorship for the event enables Get inspired New Forest to take place and ensures that young people can attend without a charge enabling all schools to have the opportunity to visit.
