At EBP South, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential and every business deserves the chance to connect with the talent of tomorrow. We bring education and industry together through impactful careers guidance, employer engagement and innovative learning experiences.

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Careers and Quality to lead our Careers Guidance Service, drive excellence across the organisation, and help shape the future of our work with schools, colleges, young people, and employers.

If you’re a strategic thinker, a compassionate leader, and someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in, this role offers the chance to make a real and lasting difference.

As our Head of Careers and Quality, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a team of Careers Practitioners delivering high-quality CEIAG across schools, sixth forms and colleges.
  • Take strategic planning as part of the Senior Management Team, shaping organisational direction and driving new initiatives.
  • Be the organisational lead for Matrix Accreditation, championing excellence and ensuring standards are met across all services.
  • Strengthen partnerships with schools, colleges, employers, and training providers.
  • Ensure young people receive exceptional 1:1 and group guidance, backed by robust action planning and accurate data management.
  • Support the development and delivery of careers related events and services.
  • Monitor impact, collect meaningful data and contribute to organisational marketing and visibility.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a varied environment, one minute working strategically at SMT level, the next collaborating with practitioners or supporting a school to deliver meaningful careers outcomes.

You’ll need:

  • A Level 6 (or above) Careers Guidance qualification
  • Significant experience providing 1:1 CEIAG to young people (under and over 16)
  • Experience working in schools, sixth forms and/or colleges
  • Strong knowledge of current careers guidance practice, policy and labour market information
  • Ability to use technology confidently to support CEIAG delivery
  • A full driving licence

You’ll be part of a passionate, supportive team dedicated to improving opportunities for young people. We are a small organisation with a big impact, where your ideas matter, your expertise is valued and your work genuinely changes lives.
