At the event, held in partnership with New Forest District Council and sponsored by Solent LEP, 13 organisations provided an exciting range of hands-on activities for the young people to take part in. The activities included putting science and engineering into action by creating circuits, using a training automated external defibrillator and trying a music mixing stand. These engaging sessions gave students the opportunity to interact with business professionals and learn about the wide variety of career options available to them.

Councillor Michael Harris OBE, New Forest District Council Portfolio Holder for Business, High Streets and Tourism said “New Forest District Council is delighted to be a partner of Get Inspired New Forest. I visited the stands and spoke to businesses and students, and they all spoke enthusiastically of the benefits of this event, particularly the interactive opportunities. It is really important to inspire young people from an early age on their journey to work, and EBP South does great work in support of this.”

GINF PressSammy Ward, Marketing and Events Manager at EBP South said “Get Inspired New Forest has provided a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about different industries and consider their future career paths. They have been inspired by the range of activities on offer and have had the chance to speak to business professionals and learn from their first-hand experiences.”
