Get Inspired Southampton and New Forest 2024, in partnership with Southampton City Council, New Forest District Council and Barratt Developments PLC– Schools

We want to give 11 to 16 year-olds the opportunity to gain a real understanding of the broad range of exciting career paths that the diverse businesses in and around out the area have to offer through interactive activities.

This event will inspire students about local firms, employment, future career choices and opportunities with businesses and education providers in the Southampton and New Forest area. Get Inspired Southampton and New Forest, in partnership with Southampton City Council, New Forest District Council and Barratt Developments PLC, gives students the chance to:

• Meet the Gatsby Benchmarks 2, 4, 5 & 7.
• Meet the CDI Framework.
• Learn about a huge variety of careers in the area.
• ‘Have a go’ at different skills and discover their talents.
• Speak to employers about real jobs.
• Be involved in quizzes and competitions to win fantastic prizes.
• Speak to education providers about courses and opportunities.

There are no entry costs for schools as the event is supported by local businesses.
